When 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men are sexually assaulted before age 18, a $15 ticket and a stroll downtown make all the difference in the world for survivors seeking the critical services they need. Yes, the Chocolate Walk is as good as it sounds.
RISE, a faith community in Harrisonburg, is partnering with the Collins Center to sponsor the community’s sweetest event, now in its fourth year.
Join us on Friday, May 1 from 5 – 8 pm as participating businesses and organizations in Downtown Harrisonburg throw open their doors and invite you in to taste the mouth-watering decadence of the area’s best chocolate-makers.
Each business will offer a different type of melt-in-your-mouth chocolate including truffles, fudge, cupcakes, brownies, cookies and so much more!
Registration and day-of ticket purchase will take place in the driveway of the Ice House at the Check-In Tent between 5:00 – 7:00pm, where participants will pick up their maps and trays to collect chocolate at nearly 15 different stops nearby. **You may go to as many stops as you like between 5:00 – 8:00 pm and do not need to participate for the entire 3 hours, allowing you to come and go and participate in some of the many other events that are also taking place on Friday. Yes, you can do it all!
